Energetic Modalities

We are spiritual beings… having a physical experience

Everything in the Universe is made of energy.

Our own bodies are composed of atoms and elements that match the heavenly stars.

Focusing on and learning to enhance the energy in your body can help you feel more balanced, energized, and grounded. It can also help you integrate the changes you are making in your therapy, as it unites the body, mind, and spirit connection.

Here are some of the energetic techniques or modalities that I may suggest during our counseling work together:

Self-compassion

Self-compassion is treating yourself with the same loving kindness and understanding that you would offer to a good friend. It is the anecdote for any self-judgment and can intercept cycles of inner criticism. I can teach you skills and exercises that will help your brain and body relax and feel nurtured.

Mindfulness

Creating a state of mindfulness can also help you relax and feel inner peace. It is achieved by focusing your awareness on the present moment and acknowledging an acceptance of your feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations.

Practicing mindfulness is when you guide your thoughts into an awareness of what you’re sensing in the present moment. I can help you slow down to learn how to pay attention and notice yourself mindfully.

Donna Eden Energy Medicine

This special set of self-care exercises was created by a woman who healed herself of a serious chronic and debilitating illness.

They are a series of tapping, stroking, and body movements along meridians or channels of energy pathways in your body.

Donna Eden describes her work: “Energy Medicine awakens energies that bring resilience, joy, and enthusiasm to your life – and greater vitality to your body, mind, and spirit!”

These wonderful exercises are freely accessed by YouTube videos and help you release tension, improve your health and vitality, and generally help you feel centered and calm.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese method for transmitting universal energy to others. It encourages emotional and physical healing and is used for stress reduction and relaxation.

Being a Reiki practitioner, I am keenly aware of this positive energy as a resource. I do not offer hands-on work in my practice, but rather use Reiki to attune to energy in our work together.

Vibrational Medicine

Several examples of vibrational medicine include homeopathy, flower essences, and therapeutic essential oils.

I use these methods personally and am available to share how they can be of benefit to you if you are interested. You will certainly be able to experience the relaxing and uplifting benefits of the wonderful aroma of the therapeutic essential oils when meeting in my office.
